Mission

Our goals are to:

Nurture the Natural Learning Process inherent within all of us.

Foster a stimulating environment that provides materials, games and tools for creative exploration and self-expression.

Facilitate the development of problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making skills.

Ensure the emotional and physical safety of participants.

Focus on balancing sustainability and quality with affordability and access.

Give school children as well as homeschooled youth access to a nurturing self-directed learning environment.

 

We plan to expand so that by our third year we will have programs from 9:00 to 6:00, five days per week for ages 4 to 11. Through our after school program and weekend classes, we can give young people who attend school a viable option to access self-directed learning. Eventually the project will grow to include participants older than 11.
