Projects of Every Color
(October 22 and 24, 2013)
Autumn is a colorful, busy season. Classes and sports are in full swing. There are fairs, festivals and celebrations nearly every weekend. At home preparations are being made for holiday feasting and visits with family. Even the local animals are migrating, harvesting and settling in for the cold quiet season to come.
At Awbury Arboretum we are experiencing the bounty of this busy energy. The trees surround us with their fall color, the squirrels and birds scurry and flit at a frantic pace, and the groundskeepers are present getting the historic building and gardens ready for winter.
Homeschoolers in Talking Stick's S.T.E.A.M. Maker program are busy as well, with their maker projects now in full swing. Independent and collaborative, short and long term, our projects are taking life and setting the pace of our learning. They are many and varied, a true showcase of our interests and talents.
