Homeschooling Resources

The Philadelphia region is rich with homeschooling families and resources. Homeschooling your children can be a complicated and confusing decision. Below you'll find a helpful list of resources:

Homeschoolers' Guide to the Galaxy

Where to begin? This informative, witty, and often brilliant pamphlet by our Founder, Katie O’Connor that dispels many myths and rumors and lays down a lot of helpful tips and fact about homeschooling.

An excellent resource for veteran homeschooling families as well as those just getting started. Read it online in our new, updated, web-friendly version.

The Unschooling Life Podcast

What is unschooling? How does unschooling work? How can I be an unschooling parent – or a better unschooling parent? This podcast is for people who want to be peaceful and respectful parents. It is for people who think learning is a natural byproduct of being alive and being human. It is for people who want to play in the real world, and have more fun.

Podcast is hosted by Amy Childs, Talking Stick Learning Center Board Member

There are changes on the horizon at Talking Stick. Registration opens in May. Please check back soon for details or email Katie at katherine@talkingsticklearningcenter.org with questions.

While Math Circle will not be held in conjunction with Talking Stick at this time, Rodi will continue to run classes and can be reached at rodi.steinig@gmail.com.
